Affiliate Marketing Predictions For 2017
While 2016 has been a year of relative doom and gloom, Monetise’s year has been a great one. We’ve made prosperous new partnerships, made a couple of trips across the pond, and even bought ourselves a new kettle.
But what household appliance will be next through the Monetise door? And, less more importantly, what should the affiliate marketing world expect in 2017? Well…
- Greater compliance
The Information Commission’s Officers (cleverly abbreviated to the ICO) are clamping down further on email compliance. Which should be great news for the state of your inbox, but bad news for the shadier affiliates who fortunately don’t make it on to the Monetise network. If you’re receiving emails that you shouldn’t be, the ICO is the place to go.
2. Even more offers
More and more brands are quickly recognising the affiliate channel as a genuinely lucrative avenue for lead generation. Monetise currently has over 300 live campaigns available, and we’re expecting that to rise quickly as enter 2017’s first quarter.
3. A change of tradition
We typically hear from big multinational brands who are well seasoned in the lead gen biz, but we’re noticing a rapid growth in the amount of small to medium-sized businesses who are making the leap and getting in touch about what we can offer. Monetise has connected dozens of small businesses with audiences they’ve never reached before, which has seen increases in website traffic, and most importantly, revenue.
4. Mobile traffic – More cars but no jam!
While mobile traffic is probably a dead horse in the pun stakes (see above), it’s very much on the rise everywhere else. The way in which people are accessing information greatly shapes the way advertisers design their campaigns, and the call for landing pages and email creatives to be mobile-responsive is louder than ever. Mobile traffic increases has also seen the emergence of specialist mobile networks, but don’t worry, we’re more than up-to-speed with all the latest industry developments. You can stay put!
5. More affiliates
With more advertisers becoming Monetise clients, the need for traffic for their campaigns has grown rapidly. Fortunately, this has correlated with more one-man-bands and small companies entering the media buying industry, which has seen a new breed of email marketers, PPC specialists and Facebook extraordinaires. Expect this to continue in 2017.
And if you really are interested in what household appliance is next on our shopping list, I’ve seen a great four-slice toaster on Amazon. Watch this space…
