Introducing our new Publishers Manager
Monday the 12th of October, 2015, a day that will go down in history…
It will now be remembered as the day I realised I probably overdressed for my first day in the office at affiliate marketing company Monetise.
Oh, silly me, I forgot to introduce myself…
Hello! I’m James Capps, but as a result of never being the only James in a room, you can call me Capps.
I’m the shiny new publisher manager here at Monetise. Like my fellow newbie, Jen, (check out her blog here) I also arrive with journalism and marketing strings firmly attached to my bow.
I arrived at Monetise following a year as a social media manager, running campaigns and accounts for clients ranging from local real ale festivals to the multi-million pound Derby Arena. My adventures as a wannabe journalist growing up saw me get some great experience at the Manchester Evening News, Minster FM and BBC Radio Derby.
But anyway, back to Monetise…
I was quickly introduced to the lovely Clive, who took me under his wing and introduced me to the data haven that is CAKE.
Now time for a quick explanation of CAKE whilst repressing all urges to exclaim dessert-based puns. CAKE is the platform on which all the Monetise team get things done. If data is your thing (it’s certainly mine), then CAKE is the platform for you.
Then came the all-important handover of clients, which was one of the many exciting aspects of the week. It’s been a real pleasure to speak to new people from across the world and help them optimize their great websites and contacts in the world of affiliate marketing.
By Friday I was getting stuck into enquiries and fully embracing and enjoying the fun and fast-paced world of affiliate marketing. The week flew by faster than I could say “Conversion percentage” (affiliate marketing joke… sorry… I’ll get my coat).
